Aims

Journal of Qur'anic Inquiry and Review (JQIR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary scholarship on the Qur'an. The journal aims to provide an inclusive scholarly platform for rigorous studies on the Qur'anic text, its interpretation, reception, transmission, and relevance in contemporary intellectual, social, and cultural contexts.

JQIR seeks to promote original research that contributes to the development of Qur'anic studies through a wide range of methodological, theoretical, and applied approaches. The journal encourages scholarly engagement with both classical Islamic intellectual traditions and contemporary academic discourses in order to deepen the understanding of the Qur'an as a foundational text of Islamic thought and civilization.
